A bass and a pike caught on tape in michigan ice fishing.
- wow thats amazing fishing it looks like one pike passes it up and theres another right behind it!!! Great video how many do you catch in a days fishing (pike)?
- Mmmmmmm.... fresh pike! Oh wait, pike tastes like an old shoe that's been ground into the mud by the combined weight of forty-seven tractor trailers. So the question remains, how about giving catch and release a shot???
- Pikes are good looking fishes actualy people say the are ugly but they aint ugly they are very good looking ^^
THIS VIDEO IS AS BORING AS ICE FISHING.
- lmao the minnows like "no! no!!! not a largemouth bass!!! he'll eat me whole...but you'll eat him, so he got what was coming to him...
- Wow awesome video that was so cool. You should have tried rabbit strip jig they work well. You know why they werent bitting... because they saw you on their "fishing hut cam" lol
- Cool vid man! Hear in Canada we never catch bass through the ice. Its just to cold for them, they just hang onto the bottom where its the warmest. Catch lots of Pike, Perch, Walleye, Whitefish and Lakers though.
- dan h. from escanaba, MI says: "this video is sooo... hot", "please tell me where your shanty is so i can "warm my hands by your "woodstove" eh!

- you were not allowed to use a lifing fish to fish!!!
is's illegal!!! - i think its only illegal to use a fish that you catch as bait, meaning the small shit that nobody keeps. Up here in Canada angling shops sell minos so i don't really think its illegal, if so i've been shopping at illegal stores for 6 years now, using illegal bait.
- I hear pike have lots of sharp teeth. We don't have pike here in Mississippi, but there have been stories of some folk catching piranhas in the Mississippi River. Heard killer bees have been found in New Orleans, Louisiana, too.
- you guys are friggin idiots. If i was there I'd catch that pike hours ago. Us a size #1 hook and hook the minnow under the chin and up through it's nostril or the way you had it there. Lose the friggin jig hook dude. The pike's practically starving to death, that's why it took it in the first place. It looks totally unreal
- you don't need a weight. If anything put a small split shot approx 2 feet above the hook. Let the minnow swim around as if it were injured. The fish can clearly see a big ass jig hook on the damn minnow.
- That was a nice largemouth- where were you fishing at? You should try smaller bait so it doesn't intimadte them so much. Nice catch though.
- yeah, you probably would have had better luck with a better hook job on those minnows. weird how non aggressive those pike were though...
- ya, it may have been because it was cold. they may not be as active or thier metabolism slows down, making them less likly to feed as often.
- You were jigging way too fast. It's icefishing, those fish are very slow and sluggish because of the cold water temperature. You have to use smaller baits.
- lmfao!!!! the frst pikes like...whats that...what the heck is that...i'm not biting that... hmmm... lol the bass is looking into the camera like...." hi mom!"
- yah...I do a heck of alot of ice fishing in Ontario for pike...I would suggest you use a smaller jighead....and dont use a snapswivel it looks really unnatural....as for a leader use a dacron or polyemer line leader..or heavy duty flurocarbon 50lb test...its alot more of a natural presentation
- ok i could nam about 20 things that you were doing wrong but i dont have that kind of time...were you tring to bore the fish to death with that presentation and wait for him to flaot to the top?? hmmm...and a snap swivel on a jig??? oh and nice song...fag!!
- those fish look really cool. that's only cause i don't go fishing that much, and therefore, do see very many fish. But i do like to fish.
that was a good video i wish with my under water camra i can do that and i want to know do u think i should leav the camra in the water because i am worried that if i keep it in the fish might be on my line and wrape aroun the cord ang pull my little camara? some one please amswer
- now where were you fishing? was it anchor bay. a lot of people are always there. its 35 degreese out and people are driving cars out there!
- what type of camera is that? I just bought and underwater camera and dont get the same quality as that.
- it depends where you use it, this was around 18ft in a pretty clear lake. If there is a current and dirt it will look alot different. Also a sunny day helps.
- hahaha, nice catch!rofl, i'd have let the bait live though, it deserved it after scaring 2 other nice catches away, lmao, by letting live, i mean smashed under a big rock!!!lol, props to the bait!!!
- underwater cameras, they have quite a veritey, most of them u just make another hole in the ice and lower it, a lot of them look like fish, you could probably get one at your local sporting good dealer.
- haha yeah i hate it when the bait fights too much! im 16 years old and i was useing a trout as bait for pikes and the trout would swim all over to get away. than a 32 inch pike splashed and got it :D
- People never show American freshwater fish in their natural habitat. And watching this was so cathartic as a fellow fisherman. Gotta love those damn pikes, though. Thanks for uploading this!
- Man i wish there were pike like that where i live! I live in PLymouth, Northern Indiana (20 miles South of South Bend), and I saw like 4 pike last Summer and the biggest was about 5 inches long. What's weird is that you rarely see pike, and I found a pike on my boat that a bird had grabbed and left there.
