LOL! I like how this comment got a -1instead of an answer. Apparently asking how to become a better fisherman is bad. I don't fully know how to tell the difference yet, but you should just set the hook if anything feels suspicious. Better to swing and miss or maybe get a fish rather than not swing at all. Eventually through experience you'll learn the difference and how to feel your way around. Learn from every fish you catch!
