This is me fishing in foggy Nova Scotia for flounder, more specifically blackback flounder, or more commonly known as the Winter flounder. Some anglers mistaken these flounder for the Summer flound...
Comments for this video online:
- im? a subcriber!!! nice vid!!!!
- Do you have to set the hook every time? Because when we go flounder fishing we don't. Could this be affecting how many we catch?
- Generally I always set the hook for what ever I'm fishing for...Yes, not setting the hook will definately affect your catch/lose ratio.
- Zeke,Look for a current that would concentrate baitfish. ie a nice channel with a deep shelf off the flats. Lok for rapid fluctuations in bottom topography with a current moving across it. Lastly, whenever the tide pushes against a bank? hard perpendicularly give it a shot. I live in Va beach and these tips will catch you Flounder guaranteed, at least here. Good luck
- I once caught a 28in Fluke Flounder surf casting in Ocean City, MD. Man that thing was powerful.
- Wow great video! I live on the panhandle of florida and caught a couple flounder yesterday using live shrimp and bull minnows.
- Was this recently? I'm headed down that way soon.
- yes it was just last week north myrtle beach, cherry grove pier on half a fish
- i was there then!
